Radipole Wood - Origins
The wood was planted in 1995 using land that remained after the building of Weymouth Way; the town's by-pass. The land is owned by Dorset County Council, but the impetus for the planting came from Weymouth Civic Society.
Detail of the stone used to commemorate 50 years of Weymouth Civic Society, which was the inspiration for the creation of the wood.
